Laguna Beach, CA (October 15, 2024)—Coast Summit ‘24, presented by A New Earth Project, is set to return for its second year on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the Rivian South Coast Theater in Laguna Beach, announced today by Ben Warner, co-founder of the Coast Film and Music Festival (CFMF). This one-day sustainability symposium, a cornerstone of CFMF, brings together leading voices from across industries and disciplines to explore innovations that help shape a healthier and more vibrant future.
“Last year’s inaugural Summit was all about initiating powerful conversations, and the momentum from that event has carried us into 2024 with even more passion and energy,” said Warner in making the announcement. “We’re thrilled to bring it back and look forward to celebrating the individuals and companies pioneering real solutions for our planet.”
Coast Summit ’24 will feature a diverse lineup of presentations and panels exploring key environmental topics such as marine conservation, material innovation, and the role of elite athletes in driving change. The event will deliver thought-provoking discussions that highlight both challenges and cutting-edge solutions from leaders around the world.

At the Coast Summit 2024, a highly anticipated Fireside Chat will bring together Rivian founder and CEO RJ Scaringe and Wes Carter, president of Atlantic Packaging and founder of A New Earth Project. After a screening of Seaweed Stories, narrated by Forest Whitaker and presented by Lonely Whale with Re:wild, a panel discussion will follow. Industry leaders, including Emy Kane of Lonely Whale, Julia Marsh of Sway, and Bruce Moore of FLORENCE, will discuss seaweed’s applications, bioplastics, and innovations, including insights into the Tom Ford Plastic Innovation Prize and early adoption strategies that are transforming industries.
